Creative and Stock Photography

Additional work includes stock photography on Dreamstime and 123RF microstock photography sites and creative photography. Stock photos are of a very high quality and intended for commercial use. I present here two recent creative photos. They represent my interpretation of these ordinary objects into a new perspective. They are wholly a vision I was able to produce in their entirety from start to finish. As a great admirer of Ansel Adams, I am very proud to have achieved this milestone for myself today.

A special tool for a special job

Just announced yesterday the Apple iPad on further thought is going to be an ideal tool for photographers.

Imagine being out on a job or assignment shooting in RAW and JPEG basic. Once the shoot is over you can review the images with the client or staff right on the spot before leaving and give them a chance to offer comment and feedback. Then later review them yourself and make notes while having lunch. As you get ready to move into your afternoon you meet a potential new client who wants to see a sample of your work. Well you pull out the iPad, get a slideshow up and going and impress them right away. This will save them so much time because even if you give your website, the potential client may forget the address or not get to it until much later. With the iPad you make the pitch on the spot. That is the vision I have for the iPad. This is I think a photographer’s dream tool. No fuss, no laptop to carry around and boot up. That is how I will use it once I get one.

With the iPad will come iWork that has been redesigned for the iPad. iWork set consists of Keynote, Pages and Numbers.

  • Keynote to make stunning presentations on the fly
  • Pages to create documents
  • Numbers to create spreadsheets

And they are …

    Restore them to like-new condition

  • A restoration can remove tears and stains to bring the image back to its original state
  • Have your photos handy

  • Be able to view and share them quickly without lugging a photo album around
  • Share with family and friends

  • Families are scattered all over the world today and photo scanning enables you to send those pictures to loved ones without losing the originals
  • Create a gift

  • Make that famous family photo a gift for someone special in your life. You could make mugs, t-shirts and postcards on sites like zazzle.
  • Get a laugh from old school photos

  • Share those old pictures with family and friends, especially on sites like Facebook. A humorous stroll down memory lane.
  • Finally get a do-over

  • If the original print did not develop as you wanted it to or you would like to remove an object, now is your chance to do so.

This is a demonstration of merging two images together to make them appear as one. They were separate pictures. The first of the Mayflower was taken by me many years ago during the winter at Martha’s Vineyard. The second is of a classic car in a parade which I attended recently. This is a service I offer – the ability to merge two different pictures together or remove features from images that you do not like. A great way to have fun with your pictures and make old photos fresh again from a new perspective. Maybe it is time to dust off those old photos and revive them again.
